Marching Band 2004

Our Primary Colours

2004 Marching CardinalsIn our infancy, all we could see is black, then white. Color came to us; awakening us to the infinite varieties of life. As we grew, our cultural connotation of color developed and expanded. Red means stop; Green means go. Red, White and Blue represents America and its ideals. Color is a powerful medium - it conveys note always a concise set of information, but also an emotion; a moment. So it is no small wonder that one must give pause when deciding which color or colors with which to represent their country, their city or their school. When Coon Rapids High School opened it's doors in 1964, its colors were, as they are now, red, sliver and black. We hope to tell what our school is about by showing you Our Primary Colours, both visually and with the color of our sound. We will be using three pieces of music: Red Tower, Metalla and The Darkness is Always Soft give to you Our Primary Colours.
